刘公社,男,博士,研究员,博士生导师。

1978-1982年在西北农林科技大学学习农学,1982-1986年在法国帕斯卡尔大学和法国科研中心CNRS读研,获法国植物生物学和生理学博士,1986-1988年在中国科学院王伏雄院士团队从事博士后科研。1989年到中科院植物所工作至今。在李振声院士指导下长期从事我国北方草原关键物种--羊草的种质资源研究。现任中国科学院资源植物重点实验室草种质资源和分子育种研究组组长,2019年入选国家林业和草原局第一批创新团队。兼任农业农村部、国家林业和草原局草品种审定专业委员会委员,中国草学会生物技术委员会理事长、中国畜牧业协会草分会副会长、国家草产业科技创新战略联盟副理事长,宁夏自治区政府顾问,欧美同学会理事。在国内外期刊发表学术论文150余篇,出版《羊草种质资源研究》等专著5部,获发明专利22件,培育出中科12357号(羊草)植物新品种。培养博士、硕士生研究生33人。获中国草学会科技进步一等奖。 

主要研究工作:

1、 羊草有性繁殖的生物学基础和抗逆的分子机理;

2、   草种质资源精细鉴定和特异基因资源发掘;

3、 草类植物分子设计育种的理论和方法;

4、 羊草新品种的培育及其在生态修复和草牧业中的应用。
